AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP today moved to new larger Austin offices at One American Center, 600 Congress Avenue. Sutherland has more than doubled the size of its Austin office with the addition of seven attorneys in 2012. The new office will accommodate the expanded team and provide room for continued growth.
"We opened in Austin in 1993 representing our energy clients in Texas regulatory matters," said Sutherland Managing Partner Mark D. Wasserman. "Today, in addition to having one of the preeminent energy regulatory practices in Texas, we've brought together a team of accomplished Texas litigators with consummate appellate experience from both sides of the bar. This is an exciting time of growth for our firm in Texas."
In the past two years, Sutherland has expanded its Austin office to include three of the state's leading appellate lawyers: Kent C. Sullivan, former Justice for the Texas Court of Appeals in Houston, First Assistant Attorney General and a District Judge; Sean D. Jordan, former Principal Deputy Solicitor General in the Office of the Attorney General of Texas; and Danica L. Milios, former Deputy Solicitor General in the Office of the Attorney General of Texas. They join eight other lawyers in Austin, including leading energy attorneys Richard P. Noland, James M. Bushee and James E. Guy.
Consistent with Sutherland's commitment to sustainability and the conservation of energy and resources, One American Center is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certified by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Sutherland's office in Austin represents clients in Texas and around the world in energy, regulatory, environmental, intellectual property and litigation matters.
