Switch2Health® Launches Global 'Be Active, Get Rewards' Campaign
S2H REPLAY Now Available in Slovenia, Australia, Bulgaria & South Africa
NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J., June 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The S2H REPLAY™ and S2H STEP™, activity trackers that encourage people to get moving by offering reward incentives, have gone global. Switch2Health® (S2H) announced its innovative wellness initiative is available with local rewards for users in Slovenia, Australia, Bulgaria and South Africa.
The S2H REPLAY wristband and S2H STEP pedometer tracks the wearer's physical activity. After 60 minutes of movement wearing the S2H REPLAY, or 10,000 strides while wearing the S2H STEP, the devices reveal a code that can be uploaded to the user's account on www.s2h.com and exchanged for fun rewards such as gift cards to popular retail stores.
The online "gaming" aspect of the program encourages participation by users at any age or activity level, said S2H President and CEO Seth A. Tropper.
Until today's announcement, rewards have primarily included U.S. retailers. Now, S2H REPLAY and S2H STEP users in Slovenia, Australia, Bulgaria and South Africa can earn rewards from companies specific to their regions – in addition to more global rewards from online retailers.
"Not only will using the S2H REPLAY and S2H STEP encourage people to get active, but they will also help many local businesses broaden their customer base through the targeted reward incentive program," added Tropper.
In Slovenia, S2H participants can earn rewards such as clothing, sneakers, bikes, school supplies, cosmetics, as well as discounts on travel and sporting activity offers. "We are working on offering personal services as rewards, too, such as massages, tickets for concerts and more," explained Zlatko Ledinek, managing director of Kompas Design, S2H reseller in Slovenia.
Maree Mamo, general manager of Rewarding Health Pty Ltd., S2H reseller in Australia, said the news of local rewards is already encouraging people to sign up and get active. "Having the S2H REPLAY on your wrist places health and physical activity front of mind."
In the U.S., celebrities like Boston Celtics Star Paul "The Truth" Pierce are increasing participation in the program. To date, users have logged more than 220,000 hours of physical activity.
