SynCare Selected as the Assessment Administrator for Medicaid Home and Community Based Services Program in Missouri

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., Feb. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- SynCare (www.syncarellc.com) announced today that it has been selected as the Assessment Administrator for Medicaid Home and Community Based Services program administered by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Division of Senior and Disability Services.

As assessment administrator, SynCare is charged with providing high quality, cost-efficient services to Medicaid eligible adults. Aimed at providing comprehensive support to individuals who wish to remain in the least restrictive community settings, the assessment and care planning service delivery will extend to approximately 55,000 eligible members. Expected outcomes are the reduction of the time between service eligibility determination/approval and service delivery, ensuring appropriate utilization of services based on an individual's needs and the provision of ongoing oversight that ensures the highest quality of care.

Program support is comprehensive, extending to multiple facets of individualized care such as meals, assistance with activities of daily living, respite care for caregiver relief, adult day health care services, and other services.

As a result of the award, SynCare will expand current operations in the State as SynCare Missouri LLC and add an additional 157 positions. An additional 10 positions will be added in Indiana.
