HAWTHORNE,Calif., April 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Systems Technology Inc., a worldwide leader in driving simulation technology, announced today that they will be demonstrating the new STISIM Drive®-OT driving simulation software and their next generation console design at the AOTA conference in San Diego on April 24-28. STISIM Drive®-OT is designed for patient Assessment and Occupational Therapy applications. STISIM Drive-OT is specifically engineered to facilitate the diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation process of at-need patients. The software's main feature is its adaptability to clinical applications that benefit from driving simulation. STISIM Drive®-OT has a unique interface that allows the Occupational Therapist (OT) to create a database to track the treatment routine, driving results, and rehabilitation progress for each selected patient. STISIM Drive®-OT includes a large portfolio of pre-designed scenarios from which the OT can select a drive beneficial to the intended evaluation procedure.
Dave Landon, CEO of Systems Technology, Inc. commented that the feedback from launch customers has been very encouraging. "We recently installed a simulator at a major Midwestern clinic. I personally received a call from them and they are thrilled with the ease of use and flexibility of the software. They noted that it has been a wonderful experience working with both STISIM Drive® and Systems Technology's support staff."
The next generation console incorporates features derived from working with OT professionals. "Our engineers have expended countless hours working with OTs to develop a specific driving simulator application and console design that provides an extremely valuable evaluation tool for the clinician," said Ted Rosenthal, Chief Technologist and Principal Research Engineer. "Assessment Clinicians and OT professionals now have a product designed not only for them, but by them."
