Tabula Builds International Presence Announcing a New Office in Tokyo, Japan
The establishment of a regional office in Japan represents Tabula's strong commitment to the Japanese market. Programmable logic industry veterans have been tapped to lead strategic presence.
SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Tabula, Inc., a privately held fabless semiconductor company and developer of the ABAX family of 3D Programmable Logic Devices (3PLDs), today announced that in response to rapidly growing demand, it is establishing a presence in Asia by opening its first office in Tokyo, Japan. Located in the Shinagawa Intercity Tower, near the center of Japan's fast growing technology base, the office will be led by three PLD industry veterans, Toshi Joh, Tad Arai, and Shinichi Shiratsuchi, each with 20 years or more of experience in programmable logic sales, marketing and engineering. Enabling Tabula to better respond to the needs of its local customer base, the office will support the company's expanding 3PLD business in the communications infrastructure markets and in other markets such as industrial, test, medical and broadcast.
Tabula's Japanese presence will further enhance the technical and commercial support already established by Renesas Easton Corporation (REC). Tabula selected REC this past February as its Value Added Reseller and distribution partner for the Japanese territory. A widely recognized and respected leader in the Japan market, REC brings brand-name recognition, excellence in sales relationships, and strong engineering expertise in ASIC and board design. Mr. Tad Arai, Senior Director of Marketing at Tabula Japan added his comments, saying, "The programmable logic market is a large and growing market in Japan. Customers are looking for the types of unique benefits delivered by Tabula's 3PLD devices: flexibility combined with unmatched capabilities at volume price points. Those capabilities are essential to expanding their competitive advantages. We are looking forward to working with the Renesas Easton Corporation in broadly deploying Tabula's breakthrough programmable products in the service of our customers in Japan."
"Tabula is committed to advancing the field of programmable logic. With the creation of the Tabula Japan Office, and with our partnership with Renesas Easton Corporation, we have a sales, marketing and engineering presence with the experience and breadth to effectively drive and support our ABAX family of 3D Programmable Logic Devices in the Japanese customer base. Our ability to attract leaders and partners of this caliber speaks to the unprecedented advantages our 3PLDs are demonstrating in the field over FPGAs and ASICs." said Steven Haynes, VP Worldwide Sales at Tabula.
