Tactical Medical Packs Announces New Disaster Medical Packs Equipping First Responders for Mass Casualty Incidents

NORWOOD, N.J., Aug. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Tactical Medical Packs, the leading developer of self-contained vacuum-sealed emergency medical kits announced today their latest emergency medical pack and the appointment of Hartwell Medical as the exclusive distributor for this new product line. The Triage Medical Pack provides essential medical supplies for use by professional emergency responders in disaster or mass casualty incidents (MCI). The product has already been named a 2012 JEMS Hot New Product by the Journal of Emergency Medical Services.

Tactical Medical Packs™, the inventor of the original vacuum-sealed Tac Pack®, has unveiled its newest product, the Triage Medical Pack, for use by professional emergency responders when dealing with single or multi-patient critical trauma incidents. Triage Medical Packs consist of heat-sealed packs, one for airway emergencies and one for bleeding emergencies. The Triage Airway Pack includes a CPR face shield, an adult oral airway, a pediatric oral airway, a nasal airway with lubricating gel and latex free gloves. The Triage Bleeding Pack includes Quik Clot 1^st Response, a compression bandage, dressings, and latex-free gloves.  Both are packaged in durable, waterproof, high visibility packs made to withstand any environment.

Designed for multi-casualty incidents or disaster situations, the packs are intended for single-patient use in the treatment of "Immediate" level patients who are experiencing a critical airway and/or bleeding emergency.  According to Dr. Maurizio Miglietta, CEO and founder of Tactical Medical Packs, "The Triage Medical Packs will fill the current gap between initial triage and treatment by making available a comprehensive, systematized approach to treating immediate category patients in the field."

Triage Medical Packs are available individually or in pre-packed kits.  The Tx 4 Triage Medical Kit will hold 4 Triage Medical Packs (2 airway and 2 bleeding) and the Tx 8 Triage Medical Kit will hold 8 packs (4 airway and 4 bleeding).  In addition, the pre-packed kits include waterproof markers and scissors and can be special ordered to include triage tags and the latest generation of tourniquet if needed.

Tx Triage Medical Kits provide a first responder with the essential tools to rapidly treat "Immediate" patients while performing initial triage. Triage Medical Packs address the current gap between initial triage and treatment.
