Taitia Elliott Completes American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School

FREDERICK, Md., June 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Taitia L. Elliott, Senior Vice President of Commercial and Retail Banking at Frederick County Bank, recently graduated from the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the Executive Leadership Program at The Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia, PA.

Stonier is ABA's national graduate school of banking, an intensive three-year program for banking executives, and The Wharton School is world-renowned for its academic strengths.  Students from the United States and international banks of all sizes, as well as state and federal regulatory agencies and other financial services organizations complete extensive projects and coursework while on the job.  They also attend a residency session each year on the Wharton campus.  This is the school's 79th year, and it was held June 5 - 12, 2014 at the University of Pennsylvania.

Since its inception in 1935, more than 20,000 students have followed a curriculum of more than 45 courses and enjoyed networking opportunities with more than 600 fellow students. Between sessions, students keep up with trends by completing additional extension and online coursework. The program culminates with the Capstone Strategic Project, where students develop comprehensive business projects for their financial institutions.

Ms. Elliott has been in the banking industry for over 28 years and is responsible for leading a team of Business Development Officers and overseeing the Bank's five locations.  Her previous experience includes treasury management sales, merchant processing sales, commercial loan administration and branch banking.

She is a graduate of Framingham State University in Massachusetts, and is a member of the American Bankers Association, Maryland Bankers Association, Independent Community Bankers of America and the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce.  Ms. Elliott resides in Frederick with her husband, Peter, and their daughter Ashley.
