Tandem Diabetes Care Launches t:simulator™ Demonstration App

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Tandem Diabetes Care®, Inc. (NASDAQ: TNDM), a medical device company and manufacturer of the t:slim® and t:flex™ Insulin Pumps, today announced the release of the t:simulator™ App, which mimics the touchscreen interface and features of the t:slim Insulin Pump.  The t:simulator App is compatible with iPhone®, iPad® and iPod touch® and is available on the App Store℠ at no charge. A version of the app for Android™ is currently in development.

The t:simulator App mirrors the same steps used on a t:slim Pump for many of the most commonly used insulin pump tasks.  It also offers "Tool Tips" that walk the user through key features and menu items.  Tool Tips can be turned on or off at the user's discretion. 

The app is for demonstration purposes only. Due to the variety of sizes of compatible devices, the t:simulator App may not display the t:slim Pump interface at its actual size. Please refer to the Technical Specifications in the Resources section of the app for more detailed information. This app is intended for ages 12 and up.
