Tanger Outlets Columbus Kicks Off Grand Opening Celebrations

GREENSBORO, N.C., June 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, Inc. (NYSE: SKT) and Simon celebrated the Grand Opening of Tanger Outlets Columbus with an official ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. today hosted by Steven B. Tanger, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tanger Outlets, Stephen Yalof, CEO of Simon Premium Outlets, and Drew and Jonathan Scott from the hit show, Property Brothers, as well as state and local officials.

The Grand Opening ceremony was hosted by WSYX-TV reporter Tom Bosco, with remarks delivered by Berkshire Township Trustees Vice Chair Bill Holtry, Delaware County Commission President Barb Lewis, Ohio Development Services Agency Director David Goodman, Ohio Congressman Pat Tiberi, Ohio Lt. Governor Mary Taylor and special guests, Drew and Jonathan Scott. The ceremony program included a donation to local charity Flying Horse Farms.

During the ceremony, Steven B. Tanger was recognized with the distinction of Honorary Commodore of the State of Ohio. This prestigious recognition was bestowed by Grand Commodore Alan Stockmeister and Lt. Governor Mary Taylor to commemorate his dedication to economic development in the Great State of Ohio.

As part of festivities for the Grand Opening weekend, Tanger offered shoppers a chance to meet real estate experts Drew and Jonathan Scott from noon to 2 p.m. during an exclusive design workshop where the brothers shared design-on-a-budget advice. The celebration will continue on throughout the weekend with special savings and fashionable giveaways, a festival featuring free Ferris Wheel rides, games and entertainment for the whole family, and a Marvel Superhero Saturday for kids to meet their favorite superheroes. The new center features over 80 upscale brand name and designer outlet retailers including: Ann Taylor Factory Store, Nike Factory Store, Banana Republic Factory Store, American Eagle Outfitters, Talbots Outlet, Gap Factory Store, Loft Outlet and many more.
