Tang's Natural Presents Dumpling Festival Proceeds to Food Bank For New York City
NEW YORK, Dec. 7, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- On September 25th, Tang's Natural, a Brooklyn food manufacturer, hosted the 2nd Annual New York City Dumpling Festival at Sara D. Roosevelt Park in Manhattan, benefiting the Food Bank For New York City. The park was filled to capacity and the event successfully raised $44,200.00, more than doubling last year's proceeds of $17,092.87. In addition, we are also donating the Dumpling Eating Contest's contestants' registration fees ($1,200) and Floria Lee, the winner in the Women's Division of the Eating Contest, donated $100 of her title's prize. On Thursday, December 16th, Tang's Natural will present a check totaling $45,500 to the Food Bank. This will help the Food Bank fight hunger in New York City.
We invite you to help us commemorate our joint efforts in bringing public awareness to the hunger issues facing New York City. Immediately following the Check Presentation, there will be a factory tour where you will be able to see how our dumplings and noodles are made – right here in Brooklyn! Lunch featuring our delicious dim sum will be served afterwards.
