Tanis was recognized for the outstanding user interface (UI), user experience (UX) and design work it did while modernizing the website of Rigaku Raman Technologies, a leading global developer of innovative Raman spectroscopy devices.  The web development and design work was complemented by follow-on PR programs that help drive traffic to the new and improved website and establishes Rigaku Raman as a leading provider of handheld Raman analyzers.

This gold award brings Tanis' total Stevie Awards to three in 2013; adding to its Gold award for 'Communications/PR Campaign of the Year – Marketing – Business-to-Business' for its work with Terracotta, and bronze for Communications Team of the Year on behalf of Oclaro.  Also known as "the business world's own Oscar Awards," Stevie award winners were selected by more than 320 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process this year, from more than 3,200 entries submitted for the 2013 competition.

In 2012, Rigaku Raman engaged Tanis Communications to create an impactful web presence that resonated with the Rigaku's target customers and influencers. The goals of the website redesign were to create engaging content to improve lead generation, provide a compelling viewing experience for any device type and integrate the latest UI and UX techniques to streamline access to product information. By helping to articulate Rigaku Raman's story from the beginning, Tanis was able to cultivate a fresh creative identity, creating visually eye-catching web graphics and a user-friendly website leveraging the WordPress platform.  The new Rigaku Raman website quickly engages visitors driving more interaction and lead generation.

Deploying an Integrated Communications Program to Drive Awareness
To complement these efforts, Tanis was also brought in to plan and implement an ongoing PR program that would build awareness for Rigaku Raman in its most important publications and drive increased traffic to the new and improved website.  These PR programs, which included a comprehensive product launch and pursuit of ongoing editorial opportunities and contributed article placements, leveraged the new website and overall product and company messaging to generate substantial press coverage for Rigaku Raman, its products and its vision for the future.
