CHANTILLY, Va., Oct. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- TASC, Inc. has named Terry Roberts, a highly decorated intelligence professional, to the new position of vice president of Intelligence and Cyber in the company's Intelligence Group. Roberts joins TASC from the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI), where she served as executive director for Interagency Acquisition and Cyber.

At SEI, Roberts led Carnegie Mellon's technical enablement for the Department of Defense, the intelligence community and the federal government, with a focus on cyber/IT and network assurance, agile acquisition and cutting edge technology access. Over the course of her 31-year government career, Roberts held a number of senior intelligence positions, most recently deputy director of Naval Intelligence and director of requirements and resources for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence.
Roberts' accomplishments during her many years of public service have been widely recognized. She has garnered multiple awards, including the Office of the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Civilian Service; the Navy Senior Civilian Award of Distinction; the NGA Personal Medallion for Excellence; and the National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation. Roberts earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Maryland-College Park and a M.S. of strategic intelligence from the National Intelligence University.
