CHANTILLY, Va., June 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- For the second consecutive year, the National Veteran Small Business Coalition has awarded TASC its Champion of Veteran Enterprise Award. TASC was cited by the coalition for exceeding 2011 federally mandated subcontracting goals established for veteran-owned small businesses and service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses.
"At TASC, working with small business is how we do business," says Daphne Hill, small business liaison officer at TASC. "By integrating small companies who have solid core competencies into our teams, TASC can add value cost-effectively to the services we provide our government customers, ensuring they get what they need, when they need it."
"TASC is one of a few prime federal contractors that has met or exceeded the service-disabled veteran and veteran-owned goals," says Scott Denniston, executive director of the National Veteran Small Business Coalition. "We help veterans start and run small businesses by partnering with companies like TASC that are committed to mentoring and nurturing them."
Since 2010, TASC has mentored and provided subcontracting opportunities to more than 300 small businesses.
