TASC, Inc. Advisory Board Assembles Industry and Government Authorities in Intel, Defense and Federal Markets

CHANTILLY, Va., May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- TASC, Inc. (TASC), the newly independent provider of advanced system engineering and decision-support services to the intelligence, defense and federal civilian markets, today announced the members of its new Board of Advisors.

The TASC advisory board includes:

Peter A. Marino, Chairman. Mr. Marino serves as a consultant to numerous government and industry companies on defense and intelligence issues. Previously, Mr. Marino served as chief executive officer and president of Fire Arms Training Systems. He has held numerous executive positions at E-Systems, Inc.; Fairchild Industries, Inc.; Lockheed Electronics Co., Inc.; and the Central Intelligence Agency.

Michael Chertoff. Secretary Chertoff is the co-founder and managing principal of the Chertoff Group. He served as Secretary, U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Federal Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit; and Assistant Attorney General of the United States, Criminal Division. Earlier, during more than a decade as a federal prosecutor, he investigated and prosecuted cases of political corruption, organized crime, corporate fraud and terrorism—including the investigation of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. In addition to his role at Chertoff Group, Mr. Chertoff is also senior of counsel at Covington & Burling LLP.

James H. Frey. Mr. Frey has served as general manager of General Electric's Space Division; president of Itek Optical, Systems Corp.; president of TASC, Inc.; and senior vice president of Litton Industry's IT Group. Mr. Frey also serves on numerous boards and works as a management consultant in the public and private sectors. He has recently served as a member of the outside advisory board for the National Counter Terrorism Center, a technical advisory board to Boeing for a national space program, and the senior management advisory group for the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. He has been a member of special panels advising the management of the National Reconnaissance Office and the Director of Central Intelligence (DCI).

Reuben Jeffery III. Mr. Jeffery is a senior advisor at the Center for Strategic & International Studies. He previously served as the Under Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Agricultural Affairs; chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission where he served as a member of the President's Working Group on Financial Markets; and as special assistant to the president and senior director for International May 2010 TASC, Inc. 4805 Stonecroft Boulevard, Chantilly, Virginia 20151 Economic Affairs at the National Security Council. Mr. Jeffery spent 18 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, London and Paris.

Dr. Donald M. Kerr. Dr. Kerr is a research professor in George Mason University's Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering and also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the MITRE Corporation. Dr. Kerr has held numerous executive positions in both government and private industry including serving as the principal deputy director of National Intelligence, fifteenth director of the National Reconnaissance Office; deputy director for Science and Technology at the Central Intelligence Agency; and assistant director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in charge of the Laboratory Division.

Arthur L. Money. Mr. Money has more than 45 years of management and engineering experience with the defense electronics industry and intelligence community and has specialized in the design and development of intelligence collection and analysis capabilities and airborne tactical reconnaissance systems. Mr. Money has served as the assistant secretary of Defense for Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (ASD C3I); senior civilian official, Office of the ASD C3I; the Department of Defense Chief Information Officer (CIO); Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Research, Development and Acquisition; and as CIO of the Air Force. He also served as president of ESL Inc., a subsidiary of TRW.

Norman Y. Mineta. Secretary Mineta is vice chairman of Hill & Knowlton. He served as Secretary of

Transportation, Secretary of Commerce and more than 20 years in the cabinets of both Republican and Democratic presidents. For almost 30 years, Mr. Mineta represented San Jose, California, first on the City Council, then as Mayor and then as a member of Congress. Before joining the Commerce Department, Secretary Mineta was vice president of Lockheed Martin, where he oversaw the first successful implementation of the EZ-Pass system in New York State.
