TASC, Inc. Wins $600 Million Single-Award IDIQ Contract to Support Defense Threat Reduction Agency

CHANTILLY, Va., April 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency has awarded TASC, Inc. a single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a ceiling value of $600 million to provide advisory and assistance services to the agency's Research and Development Enterprise. Under the five-year contract, TASC will focus on new and mature counter CBRNE and nonproliferation technologies.

The TASC team will support research, design, integration, test and evaluation of counter WMD and nonproliferation technologies for the full spectrum of CBRNE weapons – chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosive.  In addition, TASC will help make those capabilities available to DTRA customers, including warfighters, state and local governments and homeland security agencies.  To meet the program objectives, TASC has assembled an expert team from 15 companies.  Work under the contract will be performed primarily at Fort Belvoir, VA, Kirtland AFB, NM, and Eglin AFB, FL.
