These enhancements reflect input from TaxAct Professional users and are designed to provide them with operational efficiencies and deeper insights to serve their clients more effectively, and grow their businesses in the wake of tax code changes under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

• Enhanced Side-By-Side Form Views: TaxAct Professional users can compare all tax forms from the current year and prior year side by side. That includes Form 1040, Form 1065, Form 1120, Form 1120S, Form 1041, and Form 990. This change also allows preparers to easily view a client's business and individual tax returns simultaneously, as well as create and compare joint and separate filings for married clients. Users can quickly select the return types and tax years they wish to compare with the click of a button. Read-only returns can also be viewed in a separate window for ease of use.
• Client Information Worksheets: TaxAct Professional users can now utilize newly designed client information worksheets to efficiently enter basic client data. The new worksheets are centrally located within the 1040 Edition, giving preparers easy access as well as the ability to streamline points of contact with their clients.
• Additional Local/Generic City Returns: Two of the most requested state-specific tax returns are now available within the TaxAct Professional suite of products. Preparers can complete and file the Ohio 1040 generic city return and the Pennsylvania 1040 annual local earned income tax return for their clients in those two states. E-filing options are also newly available for several state-specific returns in Kentucky (amended Form 1040), Michigan (Form 1041), Oregon (Form 1065), South Carolina (Form 1065), and Virginia (Form 1041).
