TBW Charities and Rowan's Gift Announce Partnership for Their First Annual All Skills Camp & Food, Toy & Equipment Drive to Benefit Baltimore Area Families
BALTIMORE, Dec. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- TBW Charities and Rowan's Gift are proud to announce a partnership on their First Annual All Skills Camp and Toy Drive being held December 29, 2015 at Reisterstown Sportsplex to benefit Baltimore area children and families in need.
From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, TBW Charities will host an All Skills Camp for 75 area youth at no cost providing training and skill lessons from well known Major League Baseball (MLB) players such as Juan Padilla, Jim Crowley, Calvin Maduro, and more.
During this time, people are encouraged to drop off a new, unwrapped toy, sports equipment or food to donate. Items collected will be given directly to Baltimore area children and families in need this holiday season.
TBW Charities strives to provide players the best fundamental instruction regardless of the player's background or family's income.
"Every kid deserves the chance to enjoy the game and learn the proper fundamentals. We want the lessons they learn in baseball to be carried in to their every day life in the classroom, at home and the way they treat other people. We are fortunate to be able to use it as a platform to reach the kids and families in the state of Maryland," said Founder, Matt Morris of TBW Charities and The Baseball Warehouse.
Partnering with Rowan's Gift seemed like the perfect fit for this event as Rowan's Gift believes in extending the gift of life and extending to those in need.
"We were looking for a way to get the message out that little things can change the life of another person in need and when TBW Charities asked if we'd like to combine their All Skills Camp with a Food, Toy, & Equipment Drive it was a no brainer. Everyone deserves that chance, whether it's a child receiving a new toy or sports equipment around the holiday; or a family receiving a meal they didn't have before," said Founder of Rowan's Gift, Therese Hessler.
The event will also feature catering by Chick-fil-A and everyone who stops by to donate will have the chance to mingle with past and present MLB players.
