TCPN and Choice! Energy Services Partner With Boys & Girls Clubs of America
HOUSTON, Jan. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In continuance of the partnership between The Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN) and Choice! Energy Services (CES), the companies have taken the next step and pledged their support to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. From June 1, 2013 through December 31, 2014, TCPN and CES collectively will donate $5 for every Texas resident that registers with an energy company via www.PowerForKids.org. This website not only allows customers in Texas to compare competitive electricity prices for their home or business, but also provides energy saving tips, informative links, and frequently asked questions about a deregulated market.
TCPN and CES have each pledged a minimum $500 donation to Boys & Girls Clubs of America, totaling a minimum donation of $1,000. Boys & Girls Clubs of America will split the donation amount they receive with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico. After great success of this mission in Texas, TCPN would like to other expand the opportunity to other states that are deregulated.
Boys & Girls Clubs of America serves nearly 4 million young people a year, and provides them with a safe, affordable, and interactive place for young people to stay during non-school hours as well as during the summer. Programs put on by the Clubs include educational & career, character & leadership, health & life, arts, sports & fitness, and includes specialized programs such as gang prevention. This provides these young adults with not only caring relationships, but hope and opportunity that they might not receive elsewhere.
TCPN believes that cooperative purchasing involves fiscally sound procurement as well as ensuring the client that they are getting a good value for every dollar they spend. They are confident that when public entities come together to share services, there is a big benefit, both in cost savings and time. The TCPN contract to procure goods and services is awarded to businesses based on quality, proven performance, customer satisfaction and pricing.
CES provides energy consultation in retail and wholesale markets. They navigate the often convoluted energy services marketplace, so that the client can spend more time focusing on their business. As an affiliate company of OTC Global Holdings, the largest liquidity provider to the NYMEX, CES has unprecedented relationships with energy suppliers across the United States and Canada. This allows them to offer clients access to the widest variety of products at the most competitive prices available in the deregulated energy market.
