TDIA to Make Its First Appearance in North America at 2012 International CES

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- 2012 International CES, hosted by Consumer Electronics Association, will be held in Las Vegas during January 10-13, 2012. The International CES is the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow. TD Industry Alliance, China Mobile and GTI will participate at the 2012 International CES, in collaboration with ZTE, Huawei, Qualcomm, Marvell, Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell, Nokia Siemens Networks, MediaTek and Spreadtrum. The TD-LTE booth is located at 35625 in the South Hall 4 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

There will be both static displays and live demos at the TD-LTE booth, which will be an important highlight at the show. TD-LTE live demos are as follows. ZTE will build a TD-LTE network on the site and demonstrate streaming service by TD-LTE smartphone and performance single-mode USB dongle FTP downloading demo. Nokia Siemens Networks will demonstrate new types of TD-LTE applications through unique experience, controlling a TD-LTE robot to dance and read with a TD-LTE Femto. Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell will show a TD-LTE concept car, demonstrating various automotive multimedia applications supported by TD-LTE network, such as video calls during driving, navigation, on line entertainment, material downloading, etc. MediaTek will carry out video call and streaming service with TD-LTE multimode smartphone. Qualcomm will perform streaming service and ftp downloading service to demonstrate the maximum peak. The static displays at TD-LTE booth will include the latest promotion process of GTI, TD-LTE international industry chain, TD-LTE standard and industrialization progress, TD-LTE network distribution and the latest products of TD-LTE system, chipsets and terminals. There will also be a window for TD Terminals, including TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE terminal products. Spreadtrum will launch their new TD-LTE products during the show. The event will lead to better understanding of and attention to TD-LTE from overseas governments communication regulators and carriers, create a favorable condition for TD technology expansion overseas and promote the scale commercial use of TD-LTE.

During the show, GTI, Clearwire and China Mobile will jointly organize a GTI Seminar on TD-LTE Device Ecosystem, Las Vegas from 9:00 to 17:30 on January 11 at Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. The workshop will mainly invite some important leaders and TDD operators from the global TD-LTE market to discuss the development strategy of the mobile broadband ecosystem. The following organizations and enterprises will give speeches on the topic: Chipset and Platform providers such as Qualcomm, MTK, Sequans; RF solutions providers such as Fujitsu, Avago, RFMD, Skycross; Device OEM/ODM such as Huawei, HTC and ZTE. The seminar will create a developing commercial environment for TD-LTE.

The show and the seminar during 2012 International CES will be the first time for TD-LTE to land North America.
