TEAM Informatics Names Doug Thompson as President and Chief Operating Officer

ARDEN HILLS, Minn., July 1, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- TEAM INFORMATICS, INC. ("TEAM") announced today that Doug Thompson, Executive Vice President, was named President and Chief Operating Officer reporting to Dave Shannon, TEAM's CEO.

TEAM was founded in 2001 by Sunrise Venture Partners by Shannon and Craig Johnson, TEAM's CFO.  With a small group of consultants, TEAM provided solutions for customers based on Stellent content management software.  Stellent was acquired in 2006 by Oracle and the technology forms the foundation for Oracle WebCenter.  After the acquisition of Frontline Logic in 2010, TEAM expanded its footprint globally by opening offices in the UK, Croatia, Australia, and New Zealand. TEAM currently employs 70 team members and continues its growth.

Thompson joined TEAM in 2008 and has led the sales and marketing functions.  "Doug has been a key reason for the growth and success of TEAM," states Shannon. "Expanding his role to include operations, consolidates the sales and delivery functions enabling the company to continue to be responsive to customer needs and deliver the best possible customer service."  With Thompson's increased responsibilities, the Company continues forward with the same executive team including Shannon, Thompson, and Johnson, as well as the same members of the board.

Doug Thompson is a graduate of St. John's University with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. After an initial role as an engineer at Unisys, Thompson joined Stellent as a consultant in 2001.   He then was promoted to become an account manager for Stellent in the Australia/New Zealand emerging market. After Stellent's acquisition by Oracle, Thompson became a Consulting Sales Manager for a brief time before joining TEAM to lead business development activities.
