Healthier Artichoke Dip
Prep Time: 5 minutes
1 (14-ounce) can artichoke hearts, rinsed, drained, and chopped
1 garlic clove, minced (optional)
1 cup plain lowfat (or non fat) Karoun Greek yogurt (or strained regular yogurt)
3/4 cup finely grated Parmesan-Asiago cheese
1 tablespoon Linwoods Shelled Organic Hemp
Combine artichokes, yogurt, garlic and cheese in medium bowl until well-mixed. Transfer to oven-proof serving dish and top with Linwoods Hemp. Bake dip in middle of oven until bubbling, 25 to 30 minutes. Let rest for 5 to 7 minutes. Serve with veggies, chips, or pita chips. (Recipe adapted from CookingWithMyKid)
Sour-Cream & Onion Dip Makeover with Karoun's Greek Yogurt & Labne Kefir Cheese
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
2 whole Yellow Onions, Small Diced
2 Tablespoons Water
17 ounces, Karoun Greek Yogurt, 2% Or Full-fat
16 ounces, Karoun Labne Lite
1 teaspoon Garlic Salt
¼ teaspoons Pepper
Heat the oil over medium-low heat in a large nonstick pan. Add the onion and saute for about 30 minutes, stirring frequently and adding the water later during the cooking process if onions seem a bit dry. You want the onions to be very soft and translucent, but not quite to the caramelized stage. After onions are cooked, let cool completely.
Mix together the Karoun's Greek yogurt and Labne in a large bowl. Add the cooled onions, garlic salt and the pepper. Combine well and place in the fridge for 1 hour to let the flavors develop.
Serve with chips, crackers and/or veggies. (Recipe adapted from TastyKitchen)
