Sycor.Rental is available based on the new Microsoft Dynamics AX. It now features full mobile availability, the flexibility of the cloud and more functions
GOTTINGEN, Germany, May 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- "We have upgraded Sycor.Rental to the new version of Microsoft Dynamics AX, which has only been available for eight weeks, and taken the associated technology leap," explains Frank Jakobi, the Sycor Vice President in charge of the entire group's worldwide activities related to Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Once upgraded, Sycor.Rental offers all advantages of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. In particular, it boasts the scalability and flexibility required in a dynamic market environment. Combined with the new web-based client, full mobile availability of the industry solution for mobile goods rental, trade and service is assured on all devices.
"Employees can use Sycor.Rental on a smart phone or tablet anywhere and anytime, even on a customer's construction site or in a large open-air storage facility," says Podszuweit. Sycor has also adopted the latest workspace concept: Every employee is provided with a customizable, digital workspace that routinely brings together all required information and functions based on roles. Specific business intelligence functions and dashboards, optionally provided via Microsoft Power BI, supplement the workspace.
"The new customer self-service functions are also of great use to our customers. Their customers and suppliers, with no need to purchase licenses, only need internet access to view things such as open items, invoices, delivery notes or rental inventories," Podszuweit emphasizes. Intercompany rental processes are now supported as well. The rental processes have been fully integrated into the standard project module of Microsoft Dynamics AX and the device specifications were expanded and structured. "Especially for the US market we added a best-price function."
Vice President Frank Jakobi points out an additional advantage: "Sycor.Rental and Sycor.Fleet are both available as cloud solutions in the Microsoft Dynamics Azure Marketplace.
