Telcel AMERICA Kicks Off "Aqui y Alla" Mother's Day Weekend Celebration Along U.S.-Mexico Border with Pedro Moreno

Dia de la Madre is celebrated in Mexico on May 10, similar to Mother's Day in the U.S., which this year falls on Sunday, May 11. Celebrations along the border embrace both cultures as Mexican daily crossers and travelers have double the reasons to celebrate this weekend.

Telcel AMERICA will begin festivities at the border crossing in San Diego on Friday, May 9 with a meet and greet with Latino heartthrob Pedro Moreno, who will be on hand to make surprise calls to people's moms to wish them a happy Mother's Day—whether they are celebrating in the U.S. or Mexico.  The festivities also include pop up phone booths with free calling to Mexico, opportunity to win prizes, such as caps, t-shirts, free smartphones and airtime cards, as well as signed autographs by Pedro Moreno.  The famed chicas Telcel will also be on hand to take photos with fans.
