Telwares Appoints InterContinental Hotels Group's Tom Conophy Chairman of the Telwares CIO Advisory Board

PLEASANTON, Calif., Feb. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Telwares is pleased to announce that Tom Conophy, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of InterContinental Hotels Group Plc. (IHG), has been appointed to the newly created role of Chairman of the Telwares CIO Advisory Board. Mr. Conophy will be leading a select group of Fortune 500 CIOs,  representing a range of industry verticals including hospitality, health care, financial services, logistics, and technology.

Formed seven years ago, the Telwares CIO Advisory Board offers its business and technology expertise to Telwares and provides input on the company's market direction and solution set. Mr. Conophy was appointed CIO at InterContinental Hotels Group in 2006, joining the organization from Starwood Hotels & Resorts International where he held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Previously, he was Senior Vice President for Strategic Architecture for Sabre Inc. and has held senior technology management posts at Galileo International and Century Analysis Inc.
