Teradata Partners With Urban Airship for Mobile Relationship Management

(NYSE: TDC), the leading analytic data platforms, marketing applications and consulting services company, today announced a new strategic partnership with Urban Airship to deliver its real-time mobile marketing automation, high-performance mobile application messaging and location-based marketing capabilities to Teradata Integrated Marketing Cloud customers.

The alliance will extend the data-driven marketing strategies employed by many Teradata customers further into digital marketing, allowing for richer, more relevant customer interactions across channels.  By having a deeper customer view, marketers can design meaningful communications that truly engage customers -- whenever, wherever and however customers choose to interact with a brand. Aligning the capabilities of Urban Airship Enterprise Audience Engagement Suite with Teradata Customer Interaction Manager promises to increase the ability of product teams and digital marketers to deliver more real-time, relevant and responsive mobile experiences. 

Progressive marketers looking to extend their digital capabilities beyond email, social and SMS are seeing the value of engaging customers through versatile mobile applications. Push messaging delivers immediacy and high response rates—lighting up home screens of opt-in app users—and can be deep-linked to landing pages with rich content inside the app or on the mobile web. With Urban Airship's segmentation tools and real-time marketing automation capabilities, push notifications and in-app messages can reach highly precise audience segments for campaigns or respond with real-time relevancy to customer interactions. Teradata's Customer Interaction Manager enables Teradata customers to draw on campaign messaging and segmentation to deliver mobile app notifications to customers based on demographic, psychographic, geographic and other customer-identification factors.  In addition, response information from the customer's interaction is pulled back into Customer Interaction Manager to aid in building a deeper view of the customer experience across multiple channels.  Plus, customers can also leverage Teradata's Real-Time Interaction Manager with Urban Airship to achieve additional value through personalized mobile messaging created in real-time, based on data provided by the customer, and delivered via automated triggers within the solution. And finally, the partnership with Urban Airship complements Teradata's email marketing platform, Digital Messaging Center, by giving the digital marketer yet another means to interact with various target segments.
