NEW YORK, July 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Terra Holdings, one of America's largest privately-held real estate services companies and the parent company of Brown Harris Stevens and Halstead Property, has announced today that it has launched the first residential real estate apps on the Apple Watch and iPhone for Brown Harris Stevens and Halstead Property respectively. Each app will allow buyers and their partner a uniquely personal and collaborative search experience. Featuring residential properties in the areas and towns where they specialize, Brown Harris Stevens' app will cover New York City, the Hamptons, and Palm Beach, Florida. Halstead Property's app will cover New York City, the Hamptons, Hudson Valley, New Jersey and Connecticut. More than 100,000 properties can be found on these Apple Watch and iPhone apps.
"We are proud to launch an innovative new real estate experience on the Apple Watch and iPhone," stated Arthur Zeckendorf, co-owner and co-chairman, Terra Holdings. "Our mission has always been to provide an unparalleled level of service to Brown Harris Stevens and Halstead clients, and in developing collaborative new apps, we aim to exemplify that commitment."
The two apps will offer users the option to link their profiles with a partner of their choice. After selecting specific property features, smart collaboration tools will make it easy for the pair to communicate privately, share listings and receive personalized recommendations from their broker. The apps also offers a unique collaboration tool in which a property that is marked as a favorite by one partner will receive a half-heart icon that can only be made whole when both partners agree on the same potential home. Each property can be viewed on their Apple Watch and iPhone with an array of photos including a map view and floor plan.
"We've placed a unique focus on streamlining the real estate process for partners in a collaborative and private way, which will add another level of ease for our clients," stated Alan J. Kersner, chief operating officer, Terra Holdings. "We are eager to provide a level of service, speed and ease that no other real estate firm has ever offered."
Customers can discover properties on their iPhone and Apple Watch and view photos, floorplans and easily map the listings locations. The apps provide instant alerts for new listings and updates on "favorited" properties, such as price changes and open house information; users won't miss a thing.
"The Terra Holdings Apple Watch and iPhone apps feature fast and intuitive filtering tools to help our clients zero in on the perfect property more quickly," stated James G. Cahill, chief information and technology officer. "The goal is to simplify the real estate search process by using Apple's most personal device and their latest technology innovations."
