Texas-Based Limited Partnership Closes Deal on Parcel for 50-Home Development at Summit Rock Golf Course
Smartly Designed High-End 'Lock and Leave' Homes to Be Built on Holes 17 and 18
HORSESHOE BAY, Texas, Feb. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Reserve at Summit Rock LP, based in Horseshoe Bay near Marble Falls, Texas, closed recently on a 21-acre parcel overlooking holes 17 and 18 of the Summit Rock Golf Course, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.
The project, to be called The Reserve at Summit Rock, will have a built-out sales value of $35 million. It is the only new golf-front, amenitized real estate development actively under way in the area. The project will offer 50 golf-front homes with prices ranging from $475,000 to approximately $750,000 for lot and home packages. Homes will be sized from 1,850 square feet to 3,000 square feet and ready for move-in within four to six months from purchase.
"These homes will incorporate top-of-the-line finishes in a smartly designed Hill Country style. We see our potential buyers as those who are looking to 'downsize and upgrade,'" Jay Fertig, president of R Summit Rock LLC, the project's general partner, said. "Our plans include providing residents with exterior landscape maintenance within a serene setting, offering the peace of mind that they can either visit for a weekend or move here for a lifetime.
Buyers will be offered full membership privileges (with their initiation fees satisfied*) to the neighboring Club at Horseshoe Bay Resort. The Resort will own and operate Summit Rock Golf Course in addition to the three renowned championship courses it currently operates.
The design team includes residential designer Steve Todd of Austin Design Group, Austin-based interior designer Mary DeWalt of Mary DeWalt Design Group and world-renowned Vita Planning & Landscape Architecture.
The project's temporary on-site sales facility and the design office, which is located nearby on FM 2147, are expected to open in the coming weeks. Additionally, two model homes will be built on-site and available for tours by May.
