Texas Boys Choir, Inc. Launches Texas Dance Conservatory, Opens Registration to Public This Month for Summer Master Class Series, Fall Classes for All Levels

FORT WORTH, Texas, March 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Clint Riley, Executive Director of Texas Boys Choir, Inc., has announced the formation of a new dance conservatory based at 3901 South Hulen Street in southwest Fort Worth: Texas Dance Conservatory. Open to the public for classes beginning August 31, 2015, Texas Dance Conservatory will offer rigorous, developmentally-appropriate instruction for dancers ages 3-19 who seek a professional environment focused on versatility and artistic excellence. As well, beginning in June, the Conservatory will offer a special Summer Master Class Series.

Texas Dance Conservatory faculty will conduct classes in classical and contemporary ballet that aim to foster technical excellence and artistic achievement. Classes will provide rigorous, disciplined training to nurture the growth and development of young dancers within a fun, accessible and inclusive environment, according to Sheyna Ferraro, director of the Conservatory and head of the dance department at FWAFA.

All classes will be held at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts (FWAFA) and Texas School of the Arts (TeSA) in Fort Worth. Offered daily during out of school hours and on Saturday, classes include:

Ballet, 6 levels-beginner to advanced
Jazz, 6 levels-beginner to advanced
Contemporary, 3 levels-beginner to advanced
Pointe
Young Men's
Creative Movement, ages 3-4

As well, there will be a Summer Master Class Series where professional dancers and choreographers provide instruction in their unique styles and share personal dance history. The schedule includes:

June 17 – Katie Puder, Director, Avant Chamber Ballet
June 24 – Kerry Krieman, Director, CD/FW
July 29 – Nycole Ray, Director, DBDT II
August 5 – Valerie Tabor, Director, Contemporary Ballet Dallas
August 12 – Joshua L. Peugh, Director, Dark Circles Contemporary Dance
