Texas Judge Rules Parkview Baptist School's Doors To Remain Open
HOUSTON, May 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A Texas District Judge ordered last Thursday that Parkview remain open and continue its operations as it has for 21 years, despite the attempts of the Texas Attorney General's Office to shut down the institution. The District Judge also granted Parkview's request for an expedited trial to be heard on August 12, and struck out the State's allegation of the existence of an illicit Chesson Family Partnership. President of Parkview Tara Castellanos said, "Parkview continues to be committed to providing an alternative Home School Program, so that no child be stigmatized by the failure to complete Secondary Education." Castellanos further stated, "Parkview is an Alternative Home School Provider and its graduates obtaining Parent Issued Diplomas are eligible for financial aid."
Parkview's 21st annual ceremonies will go on as planned at 7 pm on May 27 at the George R. Brown Convention Center. For any questions and information regarding Parkview's Alternative Home School Program call 713.993.0411 or log onto parkviewhomeschool.org or join them on their facebook page.
