Players log in to the Rushing America microsite to follow the new TextbookRush brand hero, Rush the Rabbit, as he travels across virtual America, visiting thousands of campuses in all 50 states and D.C. over 50 days. Visitors to the site are invited to navigate through neighborhoods in a different state each day using Google's 3D Street View. Once they "spot" Rush the Rabbit, they're entered into a daily drawing to win a bounty of $500. 'Carrots' qualify players for other daily prizes.

The Rushing America promotion makes innovative use of the features of Street View overlaid with specially developed software to create a first-person game experience. The game is pre-loaded with thousands of college locations and a responsive mechanic for the distribution of prizes, localizing play for each individual user.  TextbookRush believes this makes Rushing America the first truly randomized and dynamic game using Google's global mapping platform.
