NEW YORK, Aug. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- That's Nice LLC, a research-focused strategic marketing agency dedicated to life science markets, today announced the formation of a new dedicated team that will support clients with comprehensive strategic content development. The expanded team will combine current and new staff in both market research and strategic messaging areas at That's Nice.

Guy Tiene has been hired as Director of Strategic Content to lead the team. Tiene was previously Director of Marketing for Royal DSM's Pharmaceutical Products Group, which is now part of DPx following the merger of Patheon, DSM Fine Chemicals and Banner Life Sciences. In this new role, Tiene will work with clients comprising innovator pharma, excipient and vaccine companies, CMOs, CROs, equipment manufacturers, and other service organizations to provide content required to raise awareness of their brands, differentiate their products and services, resonate with the right audience, generate publicity, and achieve strategic goals.

As Global Director of Marketing for Pharmaceutical Products at DSM, Tiene gained over six years of experience overseeing strategic positioning and communications for a biologics business providing mammalian cell culture-based recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies, as well as microbial fermentation-derived therapeutic proteins and enzymes. This combined with experience in drug substance, liquid and lyophilized drug product, oral solid dose drug product, and cytotoxics.
He worked with leadership teams in these businesses to maintain a unified vision and sustain positioning in the market that grew value. Tiene also served on DSM's global corporate communications team in Heerlen, The Netherlands.

Tiene will be joined by two new research staff coming to That's Nice – Cliff Echols and Kshitij "TJ" Ladage. Echols is a researcher and writer with in-depth experience of market research design and analysis. He holds a Masters degree in applied economics from Rutgers University. Ladage is an accomplished research project manager in biopharmaceuticals and biotechnology, and holds a Masters degree in biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania. A new content writer experienced in life science will also join the company in September.

Tiene worked at That's Nice from 2000-06, and joined PDI, Inc., a leading contract sales organization, before his time at DSM. He holds a Masters degree from Columbia University and has been a member of SOCMA (Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates), DCAT (Drug, Chemical & Associated Technologies Association), and BIO (Biotechnology Industry Organization, along with other industry affiliations.
