CIWE 2016 expected to deliver an entirely new experience
SHANGHAI, Nov. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The highly-anticipated 29th China Wedding Expo (CIWE) will be held from February 23 to 26, 2016 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, China. The event is sponsored by the Shanghai Sub-council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Portrait Photography Society (CPPS), hosted by Shanghai International Exhibition Service Co., Ltd., co-hosted by the Shanghai Trade Association of Photography Profession and strongly supported by a number of other organizations, including CPPS's Professional Committee of Wedding Photography and CPPS's Federation of Local Industry Association.
Creating a one-stop global wedding supply platform
In line with the original concept of establishing a one-stop procurement, exhibition and communications platform for the global bridal and wedding industry since its launch 14 years ago, the China Wedding Expo has become one of the largest and most influential wedding exhibitions in Asia and around the world, with 11 themed pavilions and four exhibition platforms (the China International Wedding Dress & Fashion Accessories Expo, the China Wedding Photo Album, Frame & Supplies Expo, the China Wedding Theme Photography Expo and the China Wedding Supplies and Honeymoon Photography Expo), all running concurrently with the China Baby Photo Expo. The 190,000-square-meter bi-annual event has gone a long way in helping export-oriented producers and traders further expand in the booming domestic market based on the organizers' commitments to promoting and leading the development of the global wedding industry. Through the 14 years, CIWE has been a witness to the development and growth of the Chinese wedding photography sector and related sectors and become a trendsetting event across the global wedding industry.
New exhibition layout and record exhibition space
The event, with a record exhibition space well exceeding 100,000 square meters, is expected to attract more than 650 exhibitors and 120,000 trade visitors during the four-day run. Nine ground-level, column-free exhibition halls will be directly interconnected via passageways in a move to enhance and improve the participants' experience. A new layout places similar product groups in the same hall. W1 Hall is reserved for the display of bridal gowns and fashion accessories, while W2 Hall will be a continuation of the bridal gowns display plus a section for cosmetics. W3 Hall will showcase samples of theme and destination wedding photography and include an area for partnerships and franchising opportunities with wedding photography studios, while W4 Hall will be allocated to internet technologies, corporate consulting training, marketing management and wedding organizer franchising. W5 Hall will showcase storefront window and furniture design, photographic settings and wedding merchandise. E1 Hall will be the display venue for photographic equipment as well as photo frames and albums, while E2 Hall will be a continuation for the photo frames and albums and E3 Hall will display consumable goods as well as serve as a continuation for the photographic equipment. N1 Hall and W5 Hall will host 2016 China Baby Photo Expo (Spring Edition).
A series of concurrent events
A series of concurrent events will be held during the CIWE, including an exhibition of formal evening wear, a photo exhibition of portraits, a cosmetics contest and a series of seminars on marketing management and professional development in relation to the business of portrait photography as part of the effort to keep show participants updated on the latest information and trends.
