ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., June 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlantic City Race Week and Ocean City Yacht Club announce the dates of the 2013 Atlantic City Race Week (ACRW) for July 20th thru July 21st 2013.

ACRW is a premier sailing regatta that was held in Atlantic City, NJ from 1977 - 1992, Ocean City NJ from 1993-2011 (Heart Cup), and moved back to Atlantic City in 2012. The regatta has hosted many regional and North American Championships including the J29 North Americans and the J24 District Championships.
This year the regatta will serve as the qualifier for the US Sailing Adult Championship for Area C (formerly the Mallory Cup). It will also qualify for the NJORC and MAYRA Offshore Championships and the J24 District Championship. The regatta has a new race committee with Principal Race Officers Jim Walsh and Bill Adams. Jim and Bill are both US Sailing Regional Race Officers and have extensive experience at the highest levels of racing. Avalon YC, Brigantine YC, Corinthian YC of Cape May and Metedeconk YC are affiliated yacht clubs and have contributed racers and race committee members.
This year will feature J24 and Melges24 One-design racing and PHRF spin and non-spin divisions. Atlantic City is an excellent venue for sailboat racing with easy access to open ocean and a deep water, full service Marina. In addition, you have all of the amenities of a major resort in the Golden Nugget Casino.
