The 4th Finance Music Merger Deal Closes--Over Allotment?
NEW YORK, Aug. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Liner notes of several early Grateful Dead albums posed the eternal questions: "Who are you? Where are you?"
At Wall Street Dead aHead Networking Events™ participants are exploring these questions. In an environment where the collective theme is music, best characterized as "jam-band" influenced, "Wall Street-ers" and other financial types harmonize: They create a blend between their love of music and targeted networking resulting in golden new additions to their rolodexes that can enhance their day jobs. The result? Like-minded business people are exposed to relationship opportunities with other participants as, in a relaxed environment, they find out exactly who others are, as well as where they are at this moment of their careers.
Clearly, money manager and Grateful Dead aficionado Deborah Solomon the visionary behind this series of events has hit a resonating note: Her next event scheduled for October 7, 2014 has sold out well in advance and there is a substantial waiting list.
Inspiration for creating these ticket-coveted events derived from Ms. Solomon's enthusiasm for sharing her love of the Grateful Dead with her Wall Street counterparts during high-level meetings. "Admitting I loved the Grateful Dead, as well as other jam bands, could have been a high-risk career move – instead, this disclosure became a conversation starter that has helped me form many of my very long term business relationships with people I can truly count as friends," she says.
This fourth sold out Wall Street Dead aHead Event is set for Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 6-9:00 pm at Suite 36, located at 16 West 36th Street in New York.
The event will feature a concert by The Deadbeats; open-bar beer and wine with specialty cocktails; appetizers and sponsor bags. But the biggest networking feature? Participants receive a coveted attendance roster with full contact information that also lists each attendee's favorite Grateful Dead song.
For this upcoming event, the affiliated charity is Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to finding cures for all kids with cancer. The Foundation began in the front yard of cancer patient Alexandra "Alex" Scott (1996 - 2004). In 2000, four-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to run a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. To date they have raised more than $80 million toward fulfilling Alex's dream of finding a cure, funding over 450 pediatric cancer research projects nationally.
