The 6th Annual Diamond In The RAW Action Icon Awards Honors Gabrielle "Gabby" Douglas, Maggie Q, Holly Robinson Peete And The Late Stunt Extraordinaire & Director Hal Needham

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The 6th Annual Diamond in the RAW Action Icon Awards Luncheon celebrates action-oriented stuntwomen, extreme sports enthusiasts and A-list talent in Hollywood, while simultaneously preparing the next generation of teen girls for success with this year's theme - "Girls on Fire, Living a Dream" - at 11 a.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Skirball Cultural Center, 2701 North Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90049.

Honorees this year at the Red Carpet Awards Luncheon include Olympic Gold Medalist Gabrielle "Gabby" Douglas – The Dare2BDifferent Award, "Mission Impossible III" and "Nikita" Actress Maggie Q – The Action Icon Award, Holly Robinson Peete – The Actorvist Humanitarian Award, Boni Yanagisawa – Diamond in the RAW Award, Marian Green – The Helen Gibson Award, Tammie Baird – The Special Achievement Award, Lauren Faust – The Action Animation Award and the late Hal Needham – The Lifetime Achievement Award given posthumously.

Co-Hosted by Redaric Williams of "The Young and the Restless," celebrity presenters include Vanessa Bell Calloway, Parvesh Cheena, DJ Shy, Christian Keyes, Sebastian Siegal, Mark Dacascos, Sam Sarpong, Ginny Gardner, Enisha Brewster and Cynthia Rothrock. Carlon Jeffery is this year's Teen Ambassador.

The media and celebrities are also invited to learn how to get set on fire, wield weapons, fight and fall from the sky during the Stuntwomen Stunt Coordinating Conference from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. on Friday, November 8 at the Sunset Bronson Studios - Stage 10, 5800 Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA 90028.

The Diamond in the RAW Foundation is a California 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization devoted to empowering and transforming the lives of foster care and at-risk teen girls between the ages of 12-18.

Lauded as one of Hollywood's top social events of the year, deserved individuals will be honored in other various categories as well including Jewel, GEM, Dynamic Duo and last but not least -- Stuntwoman of the Year.
