The 6th China (Yongkang) International Door Industry Expo Kicks Off
YONGKANG, China, May 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The 6th China (Yongkang) International Door Industry Expo opened its doors at 9 am on May 26 in Zhejiang Yangkang International Convention and Exhibition Center. At the opening ceremony, the China General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) awarded Yongkang City the title of "China Door Industry Sourcing Base."
This year's door expo, having received the approval of the Ministry of Commerce, is co-hosted by the China Construction Metal Structure Association (CCMSA), the CGCC, the China Real Estate Association and the People's Government of Yongkang City and co-organized by Zhejiang China Technology Hardware City Group Co., Ltd., the Steel & Wooden Door and Window Committee of the CCMSA, the International Liaison Department of CCMSA and the Steel Door and Window Association of Yongkang City.
The theme of this door expo is "Coming Together in China's Capital of Doors for Win-win Cooperation." Serving as the barometer for what is going on across the door industry, China (Yongkang) International Door Industry Expo has become one of China's most influential, dynamic, distinctive and substantial brand exhibitions.
This year's expo has attracted wide attention from all across the door industry, bringing together a great number of door product manufacturers, door accessory suppliers and distributors from both within China and from around the world at the expo. The 80,000 square meter event houses 11 indoor and outdoor pavilions, with the outdoor pavilions showcasing door manufacturing machinery and equipment.
This year's door expo has been of particular interest to non-local businesses with 317 out of the 669 exhibitors originating from outside of Yongkang. With 47 percent of the exhibitors coming from other provinces outside of Zhejiang, this represents a 40 percent increase on last year. In addition, with the participation of two Italian and five Korean companies, a great breakthrough has been achieved in attracting foreign companies to this expo.
Zhejiang China Technology Hardware City Group developed a special downloadable "Smart Expo" app for cellphones just for the door expo. Information on the location of stands, products on display and exhibitors can be found at Yongkang International Convention and Exhibition Center's official WeChat account.
The expo's official website has also been upgraded by adding a new transaction feature that enables customers who are unable to attend the show to browse and purchase products on display through the online platform. This online door expo has transformed the event from one where product was simply on display to one where purchasing of the product can be completed on the spot.
The door industry is a key component of Yongkang's industrial landscape, and the current effort to further strengthen this industry will serve to boost the communication and cooperation between the door and related industries, enhance the confidence of door manufacturers and promote the transformation of the larger hardware sector overall. Taking the lead from the China International Hardware Show, the China (Yongkang) International Door Industry Expo is becoming a critical event that is placing Yongkang-made hardware on retail shelves the world over and making Yongkang the crossroads of the hardware manufacturing community while serving as the catalyst that will transform Yongkang into a modern international hardware city.
