MIAMI, July 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Alta Group Latin American Region (LAR) plans to host its fourth annual Latin American Legal Forum on Leasing, Aug. 18 - 19 at the Intercontinental West in Miami. The event attracts experts in legal and operational areas of equipment leasing and finance.
Rafael Castillo-Triana, the chief executive officer of Alta LAR, said the region has weathered the global financial crisis and is now seeing acceleration in investments for infrastructure projects, information technology solutions and development in environmental sustainable business sectors.
According to Castillo-Triana, the forum will examine new regulatory and legal reforms being adopted on a global scale that will affect equipment leasing practices and will provide key guidance for market entry guidance for important markets such as Brazil and Mexico. He explained that legal and operations departments within equipment financing companies must provide legal solutions to meet the increasing demand for capital goods and investment in infrastructure. New and creative structures will be needed to ensure leasing operations take full advantage of all funding resources available, he added.
"As the leasing industries continue to mature and grow within the region, specific country laws and their application are presenting challenges and opportunities that should be promptly identified and exploited," Castillo-Triana said.
The mission of the Latin American Legal Forum on Leasing is to provide the most current information needed by leasing executives and legal professionals, and to provide networking opportunities among industry colleagues worldwide.
