The Augmented Reality of Standing Out From the Marketing Crowd
LEEDS, England, June 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Leading marketing and creative agency VU-tbg is on cloud nine, after joining forces with exhibition and display company Nimlok for their first appearance at the UK's premier marketing show.
The digital specialists will be on hand at Marketing Week Live on June 27 and 28, to help marketers maximise their budgets and get to grips with augmented reality.
The event will see Nimlok and VU-tbg offer the 15,000 expected conference delegates the opportunity to test out the benefits of augmented reality via its Ideas Cloud. There will be six images (auras) that trigger video content when viewed through a smartphone or iPad. This enables delegates to witness how their brand can make use of this new technology.
Big brands leading the take-up of this technology include Tesco, which announced this week plans to bring virtual window shopping to its smaller central London stores, to push its F&F clothing range.
Rob Newell, creative digital director, at VU-tbg said: "By exhibiting alongside Nimlok we hope to demonstrate to marketers the benefits of combining the latest digital engagement tools with traditional exhibition solutions such as custom and modular display stands. Games, apps, websites, film and web-TV are all methods of engaging your audience pre, during and post events. It's about making a better connection.
"Our focus is never technology for technology's sake, so we hope to show those attending how the initial 'wow' of what is possible can translate into meaningful, measureable outcomes, whether that's increased traffic to an exhibition stand or increased brand engagement."
The company is also offering visitors the chance to win a digital boost for their marketing and communications challenges. The competition can be entered at the event, or at http://www.vu-tbg.com/windigital.
