NEW YORK, July 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bloc took home 5 awards at the notoriously brutal Creative Floor healthcare awards show in London on July 2.
Billed as "the toughest healthcare award show on earth," the Creative Floor awards are chosen by a jury comprising an international team of creative leaders from companies within the health and wellness industry and outside it, including Apple, Langland, and Droga5. In addition, a percentage of profits from the show are reinvested to help young talent break into the industry.
The Bloc won a total of 5 awards, including 3 in the "Best of the Best" category. Julie Yoon, SVP, Group Account Director, won for "Best Suit." Steve Walsh, VP, Associate Creative Director, Copy, won for "Best Creative," and Bloc client Regeneron won for "Best Healthcare Company."
"These marvelous wins are a testament to the talent of the people at The Bloc and to a culture that fosters and celebrates bold thinking across all departments," said Stephanie Berman, Partner, Creative, at The Bloc.
Added Elizabeth Elfenbein, Partner, Creative, "Regeneron develops truly impactful products, and since day one has partnered wonderfully with The Bloc to create work that stands out in the category. We're thrilled for their well-deserved victory."
The Bloc's other 2 wins were in the categories of "Patient & Consumer Art Direction" for the Happy Fuel book, and "Business to Business Self Promotional—Individual" for The Bloc's in-house thought leadership publication HealthWellNext.
In keeping with the Creative Floor's uncompromising reputation, only 5% of the over 600 entries made it to the final round and the jury gave no awards in 28 of the 59 categories.
