The Breema Center Presents 'The Art of Being Present' Workshop at Omega Institute

Weekend workshop focuses on movement and principles that promote harmony in each moment

OAKLAND, Calif., May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Breema Center today announced that it will present a weekend workshop at Omega Institute. Dr. Jon Schreiber, director of the Breema Center in Oakland, California, will present "Breema -- The Art of Being Present," July 23-25 at the Omega campus in Rhinebeck, New York. Breema is a comprehensive system that includes Breema bodywork, Self-Breema exercises, and the Nine Principles of Harmony. Practicing Breema supports a deeper connection between mind, feelings, and body, and cultivates harmony in all relationships. By working with the principles while establishing a tangible mind-body connection, Breema teaches both the giver and the receiver how to live fully in the present and find more meaning and purpose in their activities.

During the weekend course, students will explore the Nine Principles of Harmony -- the heart of Breema bodywork -- with Dr. Schreiber as the guide. The Nine Principles of Harmony help students create a new, more essential relationship to themselves and all life through learning how to keep their body comfortable, practice non-judgment, balance firmness and gentleness, experience mutual support, fully participate, let go of extra, drop the use of force, find their natural rhythm, and recognize each activity as complete in each moment.

Dr. Schreiber will teach a series of bodywork sequences that relax and energize the whole body along with Self-Breema movements, both of which incorporate practical application of the Nine Principles.

"The Art of Being Present" is open to anyone interested in living a more meaningful life, including bodyworkers as well as those with no bodywork experience.
