The Bullying Academy Encourages Schools to Participate in This Year's Anti-Bullying Curriculum; Announces Discounted Enrollment Offer
Grant funding is available to assist schools in paying for the Bullying Academy Program.
DAVIE, Fla., Aug. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Bullying Academy (www.bullyingacademy.org), a web-based program designed to help 4th-8th grade students recognize the dangers associated with bullying and cyberbullying, is ready to begin the 2013 – 2014 school year. Thousands of students across the country participated in the program during the last academic year, and the Bullying Academy is ready to expand its network of schools in an effort to empower more students in the coming year. The Bullying Academy is providing a special discount for those schools eager to utilize the anti-bullying. Educators or administrators who register before October 1 can go to the program's website and enter the discount code "CF2JHBHD", where prompted during the payment portion, to receive 20% off the original $499 fee.
The program requires students to take a pre-quiz to establish their current knowledge of bullying and cyberbullying, and then guides them through age appropriate material on how to identify, prevent and respond to incidents of bullying. The program culminates in a post-quiz, which measures how much learning participating students have experienced. The top 20 scores from each school are compared against those from all other schools in the competition, with a national champion being named for each grade. Schools in 17 states registered last year and champions were named in California, Florida, Iowa, New Jersey, and New York.
