The Business Backer Appoints Carissa Newton as Chief Revenue Officer
CINCINNATI, June 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Business Backer, a leading provider of small business funding solutions, today announced the appointment of Carissa Newton to serve as Chief Revenue Officer ("CRO"). As CRO, Ms. Newton will be responsible for creating synergies between the company's sales, marketing, and product groups to achieve maximum revenue growth. She will manage all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing targets. Ms. Newton will report to Jim Salters, The Business Backer's CEO, and will be based in the firm's headquarters in Blue Ash, Ohio.

Ms. Newton joins TBB from FNEX, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer overseeing marketing and new business development for the firm. Prior to that role, she was Chief Marketing Officer at Oak Street Funding where she contributed to sales growth of more than 300 percent during her tenure. Ms. Newton also served in a number of marketing leadership positions at Delivra, Vontoo, Hufford Financial Partners and American United Life.
