The Capacity Group and Dowling Capital Partners Announce the Formation of IDIG and Plan to Acquire Stake in Risk Transfer
ORLANDO, Fla., June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Insurance Distribution Investing Group, LLC (IDIG), a newly-formed joint venture backed by the insurance industry executives of The Capacity Group and funds managed by Dowling Capital Partners announced today that it is acquiring an ownership stake in Risk Transfer and affiliated companies of Risk Transfer. Risk Transfer, an innovative insurance program manager specializing in difficult-to-place risks, and its patent-pending technology company, RiskMD LLC as well as RiskAware LLC, its loss control and claim advocacy division are all included in the transaction.
IDIG was founded to bring together industry experts and professionals in all insurance disciplines, including brokerage and agency operations, reinsurance, insurance-related investment banking, and industry research. IDIG invests in entrepreneurial general and specialty distribution partners such as Risk Transfer, supporting owners and managers with a focus on enhancing innovation and relationships. IDIG plans to leverage its collection of talents to optimize efficiency and service, while allowing Risk Transfer to focus on the revenue and margin drivers of its business.
