The CATA Chamber to Host Networking Event for Turkish American Businesses
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The California Turkish American Chamber of Commerce (the CATA Chamber) is continuing to create new business opportunities with ConnecTA 2011, its second annual networking event to be held October 10 at the Orange County Hilton in Costa Mesa.
"Our organization aims to increase business volume between Turkey and the United States," said Bahtiyar Erdogan, Vice-President of the CATA Chamber. "To this end, ConnecTA is a platform where Turkish and American businesses and professionals are brought together to promote their products and services, and develop new business relationships."
The event will begin with a reception at 3pm, followed by a discussion panel and an invitation only dinner at 7pm. Participants will have the chance to display their products and companies at booths set up in an exhibitor room.
ConnecTA 2011 will offer attendants the following information and resources:
- Business prospects in Turkey, one of the world's fastest growing economies.
- New investment opportunities in the U.S. one of the world's largest economies.
- Seminars by industry professionals about the Jewelry and Natural Stone markets and other industries in Turkey and the U.S.
- A large network of professionals from a range of fields.
- International business opportunities in the current market.
Last year, ConnecTA drew more than 250 participants from six countries, including China, Canada, Australia and Japan and focused on regulations and investment incentives in Turkey. It also examined potential business and trade opportunities in the Turkish market.
"We encourage Turkish businesses to work hard to find opportunities in California, and businesses from California also stand to benefit from learning more about prospects in Turkey," said Dr. Remzi Oten, President of the CATA Chamber. "U.S. business people will be able to reach out to larger markets in the region if they invest in Turkey," Oten added.
