NEW YORK, July 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- After 15 years of steady growth and evolution, The CementBloc announced its move to new flagship headquarters in downtown New York. Additionally, its leaders announced that the company is officially changing its name to "The Bloc."
"Over the last 15 years, we have built one of the largest independent healthwellness creative engagement agencies in the world," notes Susan Miller Viray, Founding Partner. "Our business and community have evolved dramatically, and to reflect our new 'bloc' of service offerings, and to nod at what our clients and Bloc'ers have called us, we are now proud to be 'The Bloc.'"
In a move timed to coincide with the company's 15th anniversary, The Bloc opened the doors to its new headquarters on July 13. "The Bloc is moving to the next level, starting with our move from two offices in the Flatiron to a stunning new space along the East River," commented Jennifer Matthews, Managing Partner. "We're unifying our teams and upgrading our facilities to foster a community for growth."
The new space—located at 32 Old Slip—has sweeping views of New York Harbor, and provides room for the continued expansion of The Bloc's core creative business, as well as its rapidly expanding global engagement capabilities in digital, payer, and consumer spaces. An open floor plan facilitates communication and collaboration, with shared space and meeting areas arrayed along the panoramic windows. As Miller Viray noted, "We wanted to create an environment where everyone can take in the views and the light; a space where creativity can thrive."
"We're excited to, once again, be pioneers in the rejuvenation of a New York neighborhood," added Matthews. "Downtown is where all the creative energy is right now, and it will be the center of growth in NYC over the coming years."
