NEW YORK, July 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Personal stories. Original ideas. New work. The Chain NYC Film Festival is returning for its fourth year, featuring over 130 films from around the world. Film lovers, locals and explorers from all boroughs can cool off for a great afternoon or evening at the Fourth Street Theatre in the East Village. This exciting line-up features never before-seen indie films in the short film category, documentaries, full-length narratives, and web series.
Carefully curated film blocks share rare cinema moments from exciting new talent as well as some celebrity highlights such as Charlie Sheen (Two and a Half Men) in #Cybriety, Few Options with Kenny Johnson (The Shield), Brad Dourif (Sons of Anarchy) Rainn Wilson (The Office), Michael Sheen (Frost/Nixon, Masters of Sex) and Waiting narrated by John Turturro (The Big Lebowski).
A talk back led by Festival Director Kirk Gostkowski will follow each screening block with the filmmakers and talent in attendance. Chain NYC Film Festival is an intimate independent cinema event dedicated to bringing filmmakers together to connect with each other and share their work.
Awards will be given out in a number of categories including the NY Filmmaker award, dedicated to filmmakers living in one of the five boroughs.
