The Charity Golf Association (CGA) launches today and creates a sustainable giving organization (SGO) that will redefine the generosity-model for supporting community based charitable organizations
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Dec. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Charity Golf Association (CGA) has created an organization that simplifies corporate social responsibility (CSR) for companies, while raising significant funds for non-profits through an interactive membership program that involves celebrity players, business leaders and community influencers, all without costs to the beneficiary non-profit.
As a Sustainable Giving Organization (SGO), the CGA is redefining the generosity-model for supporting community based charitable organizations by operating all events without costs/fees to the non-profit. Operating similarly to an event-based "grant," the CGA is able to create a valuable revenue stream for non-profits by releasing them from their duties of event production, management, and corporate gifting solicitation.
"Community based non-profits must continually raise funds. Many use golf events that take serious manpower and donor dollars, yet on average, raise only $5,000. The CGA helps these organizations stay focused on their core missions, thereby improving our communities," states CEO and Co-Founder, Ken Hubbard.
Emphasizing the alignment of their CSR with business and marketing initiatives, Hubbard explains, "The CGA helps members simplify their CSR, and at the same time, fund more non-profits and reach a greater number of consumers/clients making their marketing investment extend well beyond the fairway."
Partnering with the CGA strengthens members' CSR strategies, cuts costs, gives a single point of contact for golf events across the country and improves brand reach and awareness while maximizing the giving to community based non-profits. The CGA will host unique tour grade golf tournaments producing all associated fundraising elements for the non-profits (3 at a time, all winning money) and, in turn, create a program for corporations that concurrently improves decision making, leverages partnerships, manages risk, and measures performance in one easy membership.
By fostering and simplifying partnerships among charities, businesses, celebrities, brands and individuals through an annual charity tour, the CGA delivers powerful financial results for community charities.
The CGA is launching its inaugural charity tour season with Powerbilt Golf by producing the Powerbilt Air Force One Charity Golf Tour beginning in Spring 2014.
