The Connell Group Hires Joseph Derochowski to Lead Client Development and Marketing Efforts

MONTVALE, N.J., July 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Connell Group, a growth-stage market research consultancy dedicated to bridging the gap between insights and brand strategy, announced today that Joe Derochowski has joined the company as Vice President for Client Development.  He will focus on developing new business and overseeing the company's marketing strategy.

Derochowski has been following eating and dieting behavioral trends for more than fifteen years in a variety of food, beverage, and health and wellness categories for nearly every major US food manufacturer and retailer.  He is a frequent speaker at food industry conferences and government sponsored panels and forums including the Food Marketing Institute's Mid-Winter Executive and Annual Conferences, Prepared Foods New Products Conference, Dietary Guidelines Implementation Expert Roundtables, and Panel on Incorporating Behavioral Economics into Federal Food and Nutrition Policy.

Prior to joining The Connell Group, Mr. Derochowski worked on the supplier side as a Vice President of Marketing ROI at Nielsen and as Executive Director of Business Development at NPD Group.  Prior to that, he worked on the client side as Director of Strategic Planning at AT&T Global Information Solutions, as a Market Research Manager at Procter & Gamble, and as District Sales Manager at General Motors Parts.

Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association) where he continues his thought leadership in the areas of nutrition, diet, wellness and marketing.
