Team members from The Cordish Companies and Waterside District welcomed over a thousand people yesterday at a hiring open house in downtown Norfolk. Slated to open Spring 2017, Waterside District will create 1,000 new jobs for the City of Norfolk and the Hampton Roads region.
Waterside District will be a dynamic, mixed-use development that will feature best-in-class local, regional and national dining and a variety of entertainment, events and festivals. A comprehensive $40 million overhaul and rebranding of Norfolk's iconic Waterside Festival Marketplace, Waterside District will become a central gathering spot for local residents and visitors.

Designed by internationally-acclaimed Jeffrey Beers International, The Market will feature a variety of unique food and beverage concepts, as well as be home for entertainment, festivals and family attractions.
