"The Dermatologist" Launches with Leadership Coverage in Dermatology Journal Formerly Known as "Skin & Aging"
MALVERN, Pa., Jan. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- HMP Communications has announced plans to introduce The Dermatologist as the new name of the journal known as Skin & Aging. The premier edition of The Dermatologist will be with the March 2012 issue and will be debuted during the 70th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology.
"This journal is designed to provide the most comprehensive coverage of issues and topics critical to dermatologists and those associated with the specialty," said Steven R. Feldman, MD, PhD, Chief Medical Editor. "The Dermatologist title more accurately reflects the cutting edge subject matter the journal provides. We've worked hard to make it a must-read publication to ensure practitioners remain current on trends to help in their daily practices."
The publication is known for its content of critical information useful to day-to-day clinical and practice management matters, and is the only offering in the dermatology category to provide multimedia platforms for today's sophisticated users with its own dedicated tablet app.
"This is a very exciting time for this practice area and for this journal as our brand leads the way in offering readers access to content anywhere, anytime through its multimedia platforms," said Rick Ehrlich, publisher. "The Dermatologist has its own dynamic website and tablet app with current and archived issues, and web exclusive articles to be fully accessible through http://www.the-dermatologist.com." Readers can download the FREE app (The Derm) for their iPads or Android Tablets to access full issues of The Dermatologist and supplements in digital format.
Widely read by physicians and residents specializing in the practice of dermatological medicine as well as nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and those associated with this specialty, The Dermatologist will continue to include such topics that have long been praised by readers.
The journal will cover the essential clinical and medical issues as well as important cosmetic dermatology and practice management topics. The Therapeutic Review features, as well as columns such as The Dermatologist's Board Review, The Dermatopathologist, Derm DX, Legal Ease, Coding Solutions, Cosmetic Clinic, and Allergen Focus will continue on a monthly basis. New columns and features will include a bi-monthly column from the Dermatology Nurses' Association and a bi-monthly feature on the biologic treatment of psoriasis.
